IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME

“This year we booked a wonderful holiday in Florida, but as the departure date drew nearer I was afraid I should have to cancel it. I was wretched and disappointed; I really needed a good holiday. My problem was diarrhoea, not isolated attacks but several times a day. Without warning I would have severe gripping pains and have to dash to the loo immediately. This is bad enough when you are at home, but outside shopping or travelling it is a nightmare.

I'd been seeing my doctor about these symptoms for 2 or 3 years, but the various treatments and tablets prescribed had not helped and even made things worse.

A month before our departure date I knew I had no option but to cancel the holiday. Worrying about the long flight with the constant fear of not being able to reach a loo in time was making me ill. I was sleeping badly, even having panic attacks.

Then, in desperation, I turned to yellow pages phone book found Mr Clusker name and booked an appointment there and then. I had my first treatment and discovered that the needles were neither as large nor as painful as I'd imagined. I could hardly feel them and the experience was soothing and relaxing. I felt more hopeful generally. Mr Clusker asked if I would be willing to follow a special diet and I agreed straight away.

Within 5 days I noticed an improvement (only 2 treatments). I had less wind, less pain and was sleeping normally. The diet was difficult at first but as I became more used to it. It didn't seem too bad. After one week my bowels were settling down to a normal pattern and my tummy was no longer distended with wind. In three weeks my body was under control, though I found I had to be careful and stick to the diet.

One month after my first treatment I was enjoying my Florida holiday.”
